About donations
How those things work
1. Boosty is a Patreon-like service. You subscribe once (even the lowest tier - $1/month - already opens everything, so desperate I am) and then automatically receive every single update (new GWI pages, new DP chapters, and whatnot) to your email inbox. You can also comment on them on Boosty itself (there's a tiny closed club of early birds there).
2. Tip Jar rewards is a kind of one-time donation that also gives you the next batch of pages as a little thank you for your kindness. It works on the same platform as Boosty.
3. I also have an extra Lavatop Tip Jar for people who want to use Paypal or just have problems using Boosty. It offers no rewards (forbidden by Lavatop rules) and works as an extra option. Accepts Paypal, cards, ApplePay, Pix.
Where do donations go?
1. To pay for my websites' domain names and hosting. This is vital. I don't spend donations anywhere else unless this position is covered.
2. To buy food and other necessities (where I live, $10 equals to about a week of groceries for the whole family). I'm jobless at the moment, so every donation postpones the inevitable destruction of my small savings fund a little.
3. Coffee (I treat myself to a bag of coffee beans once in a while, it's about $15 for 1kg and it lasts for months, bringing me a bit of joy every morning).
4. And mostly, having donations justifies the very existence of my 'stupid and useless hobby' - which is writing books, drawing comics, and translating them - in the eyes of my family. A huge relief for me, truly.
